There is an appointed time for everything, and a time for every affair under the heavens. - Eccl 3:1

It is time for me to move on to a new phase in my life. I am retiring from my ministry as Director of Religious Education here at Holy Trinity Parish. I take this time to say thank you to this community. God has certainly blessed our time together.

It has been my privilege and honor to serve our parish family over the years. It has been a particular honor for me to be a part of our children’s lives and to watch them mature. I have seen many of our children grow into fine young adults.  They are our future. I find great hope in having spent this time with them.

You have welcomed me into your lives and have helped me to grow as a person, “fully alive” in God. You have supported both me and my family when life took unexpected turns, sharing in our sorrows and our joys. For that we are especially grateful. I have appreciated all of the experiences we have shared.

Once again I thank you for your support these past fifteen years. The staff, the volunteers and the parish family have helped make our Religious Education program one which makes us all proud.

Finally, I ask your prayers as I transition to this new and exciting phase in my life and I assure you with these words of Saint Paul, “I give thanks to my God every time I think of you, which is constantly, in every prayer I utter, with joy; I will always rejoice at the way you have all continually helped to promote the Gospel from the very first day.”

 Cancellation of Classes
Religious Education Classes at St. Theresa and St. Francis Xavier Parishes are automatically cancelled if the Harvard and Bolton Public Schools are cancelled due to inclement weather. If on Monday and Tuesday after school activities are cancelled due to inclement weather, Religious Education classes are cancelled.

Announcements for all cancellations will be made on Boston Channel 5  WCVB. We will also leave a message on the Religious Education Office voice mail, 978-456-8807.

When your child was baptized, you, along with his or her godparents, promised to raise your child in the Faith. In the domestic church of your home you continue the work begun at Baptism. You as parents are the first to teach your child how to make the sign of the cross and to pray. We as a parish community are committed in supporting you by reinforcing the Christian values you are passing on to your child. To do this effectively your child must faithfully attend religious education classes every week. We are in this together, and we ask that the Holy Spirit continue to strengthen and support us as we make this journey together.

A DIOCESAN DIRECTIVE
As part of our Safe Environment requirements for our parishes, all volunteers who work with or may be associated with the children of our parishes must fill out a CORI form and must sign a Ministerial Code of Conduct information sheet. This form will be kept on file in our Religious Education office. The CORI form will be mailed to the Diocesan Office of Justice and Peace. Please call the Religious Education office at 978-456-8807 if you have any questions.

NEW Traffic Safety Procedure on Sunday Morning
Parents are to Park their cars and  pick their children up in Deacon Hall.    Please use extreme caution when picking up children after they've been let out of Religious Ed classes.  This includes people picking up children at ten o'clock as well as at eleven o'clock.  Most of you are following the entering and exiting procedure by observing the white painted arrows on the blacktop.  However, the problem remains as to people stopping in the middle of the parking lot between the rectory and the church, and thereby causing traffic to back up onto Route 110 (Still River Road).  All children will be brought to Deacon Hall after class.   You should pull your vehicle all the way into the parking lot as far back as possible and find a parking spot.  Then Parents are to pick their children up in Deacon Hall.    The safety of "our" children is of paramount importance.

FOR SAFETY SAKE at Saint Francis Xavier
Please NO PARKING in the one lane coned off area on Sunday mornings from 8:30 - 11:00 A.M. Parents will use this lane to drop off and pick up children from Religious Ed. classes. Parents, DO NOT PARK, in the drop off/pick-up lane. If you need to come up to the Parish House to talk with your child's catechist or Alice Gaffney, please park in the parking lot. If you have any questions contact Alice Gaffney at 978-779-0551.
